The Lindgren Funnel Trap is the most widely used beetle (Coleoptera) trap in North America. It is also effective in capturing some moth (Lepidoptera) species. Semiochemical (e.g., pheromone and kairomone) lures are placed in the trap to complete the trapping system. Traps are available in 4, 8, 12, and 16 funnel sizes. They collapse for easy storage and transportation. Funnels are black, lid and collection jars are white. Collection jars come with conical drain screens for dry trapping. We can also provide a wet trap option for better insect preservation. Traps are highly durable, lasting many years. If damaged, funnels and other sections can usually be replaced or repaired.

The leg design of the Lindgren Funnel Trap has been improved to give the trap greater stability and to facilitate funnel replacement. The system for attaching the collection jar to the bottom of the funnel has been modified enabling easier removal and attachment. To increase catching surface area, simply snap in additional funnels. |

Wet Trapping
The "wet trap" option incorporates a rubber bung in the usual drain hole of the collection jar. A drain overflow screen is set into the side wall. Use preserving fluids inside the jar. |
