Black Army Cutworm (Acetiba fennica) Monitor situations where seedlings will be planted for 1-2 years following wildfire or a prescribed burn. Use a minimum of 3 traps at each site. For larger sites consider at least 1 trap per 5 hectares (12-13 acres). Deploy traps well within the burn area. Unitrap with Vapor Tape is recommended. |

Douglas fir Tussock Moth (Orgyia pseudotsugata) Monitor using Delta Traps in the "open" position. Lures are designed specifically to sample a small local area; therefore, field placement is critical. Available in high load (Canada) and low load (US) versions.

European Pine Shoot Moth (Rhyacionia buoliana) Monitor with our multi-component lure in a Delta Trap or, for greatest economy, our new Diamond Trap. Also try a non-sticky alternative: the Unitrap. Use 2-3 traps/ hectare (1 trap/acre) and a minimum of 6 traps/site. Border trapping is also important. |

Forest Tent Caterpillar (Malacosoma disstria) An effective lure for the detection and monitoring of Forest Tent Caterpillar. We recommend combining this lure with the Unitrap for best results. |

Gypsy Moth (Lymantria dispar) Monitor with our Delta Trap. The Unitrap is used as a high volume, reusable, non-sticky alternative. For field placement consult local experts. Also ask about Stikem Special to reduce breeding and prevent larvae from reaching tree foliage (see Arboriculture). |

Nunn Moth (Lymantria monacha) This lure has proven to be very efficient in attracting this devastating pest. In a recent study, Pherotech's species-specific lure was superior to all other lures tested. This lure can be used with either the Delta Trap or Unitrap. |

Hemlock Looper (Lambdina fisscellaria) Monitor for both eastern and western sub-species with our non-sticky, reusable Unitrap. Also consider our low cost, sticky Wing Trap. We recommend 3 traps (minimum) at each location, spaced 15-20 m (yd.) apart. |

Western Pine Shoot Borer (Eucosma sonomana) Monitor susceptible pine nurseries and Christmas tree farms with this pheromone lure in our Wing Trap. We recommend at least 3 traps at each location, separated by at least 20 m (yd.). For large sites consider 1 trap per hectare (2.5 acres). |

Western Poplar Clearwing (Paranthrene robiniae) Monitor hybrid poplar plantations for this highly damaging pest. Consider placing at least 2 traps within each hybrid clone. Use with Wing Trap or Wing Trap II. |

Western Spruce Budworm (Choristoneura occidentalis) and Spruce Budworm (Choristoneura fumiferana) Deploy as required to adequately cover habitat and extremes. Use with milk carton trap or adapted Delta Trap. Contact Pherotech or local experts for additional details on trap selection, assembly and deployment. |
